By accessing and using Tools for Music ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Product Description

Tools for Music provides digital databases containing curated music industry information, including record label contacts and submission guidelines. All products are delivered as downloadable digital files.

3. Purchase and Payment

  • All purchases are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are listed in USD and are subject to change
  • Payment is required before accessing digital products
  • You will receive an email receipt and download link after purchase

4. License and Usage Rights

Upon purchase, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the database for:

  • Personal use in your music career and demo submissions
  • Reference and research purposes

You may NOT:

  • Resell, redistribute, or share the database with others
  • Publicly post or publish the complete database
  • Use the information for spamming or unsolicited mass marketing
  • Claim the research or compilation as your own work

5. Download Access

  • Download links are valid for 48 hours from purchase
  • You may download your files up to 3 times
  • It is your responsibility to save the files after download
  • Contact support if you need additional downloads

6. Right to Cancel (UK/EU Customers)

Your Statutory Cancellation Rights

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • Cancellation Period: 14 days from the date of purchase
  • How to Cancel: Email orders@toolsformusic.co.uk with "I wish to cancel my order"
  • Refund: We will refund all payments within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice

IMPORTANT - Digital Content Exception:

By completing your purchase, you expressly request that we provide the digital content immediately. You acknowledge that:

  • You will lose your statutory right to cancel once you begin downloading the files
  • This is in accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 reg. 37

Note: While you lose the statutory right to cancel after downloading, we still offer a discretionary 14-day money-back guarantee (see our Refund Policy).

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, contact us within 14 days for a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

8. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy and currency of the information in our databases. However:

  • Contact information may change without notice
  • Labels may change their submission policies
  • We cannot guarantee responses from labels
  • Information is provided "as is" without warranties

We regularly update our databases and will notify customers of major updates.

9. No Guarantee of Results

While our database provides valuable industry contacts and information, we do not guarantee that you will be signed to a label or receive responses to your submissions. Success depends on the quality of your music, timing, and many other factors.

10. Limitation of Liability

Tools for Music shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Intellectual Property

What We Own:

  • The compilation, organization, and curation of the database
  • Original content, tips, and submission guidelines we've written
  • Website design and branding

What We Don't Own:

  • Contact information (publicly available data)
  • Label names and brands (belong to respective labels)

Your Limited License:

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the database for your own music career. This license does NOT permit:

  • Commercial resale or licensing to others
  • Public distribution or posting online
  • Creating derivative databases
  • Automated extraction or scraping

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Dispute Resolution:

  • UK/EU Consumers: You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or your local courts
  • Non-EU Consumers: Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
